Raincoat material

Raincoat fabrics generally have the following types:

1, waterproof and moisture permeable cloth

The inner surface of the fabric is coated with a waterproof and moisture-permeable paint, such as a raincoat commonly used by police and climbers, which is waterproof and breathable, but the price is high.

In short, Oxford cloth is more suitable for waterproof clothing, which is determined by its weave.

2, cotton (nylon)

The silk gloss has a good effect, strong strength and good wear resistance, but it is easy to deform under the action of external force, so the fabric is prone to wrinkles during the wearing process.

3, polyester

The biggest advantage of the fabric is that the wrinkle resistance and shape retention are good, but the dyeability is poor and the moisture permeability is poor.

4, Oxford cloth

The fabric obtained by the special weaving method of cotton or polyester has the characteristics of easy washing and quick drying, soft hand feeling, good moisture absorption, soft fabric color, soft cloth body, good air permeability, comfortable wearing and two-color effect.

5, the application of waterproof and breathable fabric

PTFF waterproof and breathable laminated fabric was first developed for the production of military uniforms and protective clothing, and then used in sportswear. The manufacture of tents and other items is still expanding. For Air Force pilots, naval soldiers, and special forces, the sudden drop in body temperature caused by cold water is one of the important factors causing casualties. The US military has designated waterproof and breathable clothing as an air force pilot. Crew and special riot gear for special forces who perform sea, land and air operations. These garments provide up to 2 hours of protection in cold water at 7 degrees and are lightweight and comfortable to wear.

The main technical performance requirements of military raincoats are good waterproof and breathable and light weight. PTFE microporous composite fabric not only solves the contradiction between ventilation and waterproof, but also reduces the weight of the raincoat, thus effectively reducing the load of soldiers.

The fire service suit, the face is made of woven aramid cloth, the film is made of PTFE, the Rico is made of warp knitted aramid knitted fabric, and the dry agent is phosphorus-containing polyurethane. Improve the comfort of wearing protective clothing.

Military light tents require rainproof, flame retardant, anti-aging, etc., while PTFE film materials are resistant to corrosion, strong acid and alkali, and resistant to aging, so PTFE laminated fabrics can be used.

The sleeping bag is required to be warm, ventilated, light in weight, etc. Based on the characteristics of the PTFE microporous film laminated fabric, a double-layer structure is adopted, the outer layer is a nylon fabric, and the inner layer is a P-free FE film. This sleeping bag is used without the risk of hypoxia and carbon monoxide poisoning.

Due to its extremely chemical resistance and flame retardant properties, and the microporous structure of the film, it has superior water (liquid) permeability, making it an ideal material for the development of nuclear and chemical protective clothing.

PTFE waterproof and breathable laminated fabric can not only meet the needs of people in the harsh environment such as cold weather, windy weather, etc. It is also suitable for people's daily life requirements for raincoats, shoes, etc., and has broad application and development prospects.

At the end of the research and development of PTFE waterproof and breathable laminated fabrics, the focus is on reducing costs and working towards making fabrics lighter, more comfortable and more multifunctional.
